Plate Keyboard
Calculating what kind and how many plates you need for a plate-loaded exercise, whether it’s a barbell or a machine, has always been a dreaded task when you’re exhausted from weightlifting. Oftentimes you will be standing there completely dumbfounded as you try to figure out what plates you need to load.
That’s why Plates comes with a custom plate keyboard, ready to be opened whenever you’re entering weight. It’s a beautiful, native iPhone keyboard where you simply tap olympic colored plates and see the weight update in real time.
Target Weight
If you already have a target weight, say 40kg, Plates can automatically calculate the most optimal way for you to load the bar. All you have to do is open up the plate keyboard and it’ll display the configuration for you to use. If you prefer to have a different configuration you can effortlessly change it, and Plates will remember that configuration the next time you do that exercise.

Custom Equipment
We know that there is a lot of different equipment in the gym, each with different starting resistance. That’s why Plates comes with a few built in pieces of equipment, like Standard Men’s and Women’s Barbell, but you are completely free to create any kind of custom equipment you desire and freely configure the starting resistance of it, for things like a Hack Squat Machine, Smith Machine, or whatever other equipment your gym uses.
